September Citrus Lane subscription box review [Preschool Boy Box]

My first Citrus Lane subscription box is here!

I have posted the Living Social deal before and it is still available!
My sister bought one as well so she can gift it to Happy Girl.
It is usually $29 a box and lower when you subscribe for longer (6 or 12 months).
At Living Social you can get it at $45 for 3 months.

The open view.

There were 4 items in it including the little snack.

Creativity Can by Faber Castelle ($8.99)
I have a cabinet full of art supplies but sometimes it's good to have well-portioned ones.
I might give this as a gift... but we will see.

The little Red Hen by Debra Messing ($9.99)
I really liked the book. I never buy books at full price and used to buy them either at second hand (ebay) or took advantage of the Scholastics book sale. It was really nice to have a new random book. I wish they include more books in future boxes too. :)

Somersaults Cinnamon Crunch (6oz for $9.49) (80cents per bag)
I really liked it and surprisingly Sweet Boy ate it too. He is usually unbelievable picky..

Crocodile Creek 48 pc Roll'n Play Puzzle ($9.95)

Cost Breakdown: Total for the box is $29.73
Considering the fact that I got each box for $14.25, it's a great deal. (I got the 3-months deal + extra month for $12)
Even if you got it for the regular price of $29 per box, it breaks even. (Shipping is included so it's even better)

I thought my subscription will begin with October box but I guess they still had September box left over. The review of this box was out from a while ago so it wasn't a surprise at all.

At first I was going to keep the puzzle unopened so I can give as a gift but Happy Girl got to it.
She is only 2 1/2 years old and this puzzle is intended for 4+. However, this puzzle was somewhat challenging even for me because all the pieces kind of fit in together even in wrong places!

The middle piece you see (the one with red) fits so well but it's not the right piece.

There are many pieces like that. I love the quality and the picture of finished puzzle but it was definitely not for Happy Girl. Well, but she is only 2 1/2. I will see how it goes with Sweet Boy.

Overall, I'm excited to have more boxes coming my way. I am still deciding whether to keep the subscription or not after my initial 4-months are over.
