I took the Sweet Boy and Happy Girl to a local play zone called Peekaboo Playland in Eagle Rock.
I've been to few, here in Southern California and back in New Jersey, but this is by far my favorite.
Everything in this place has special touches. When you walk in, the giant stork (which seems to be the theme of this place) with climber/ slides greet you.
I can't believe I didn't take a picture of the whole place. This place is very airy and open.
Sweet Boy and Happy Girl's favorite thing is actually that huge bounce castle shown on the left side of the picture.
Happy Girl playing peek-a-boo!
There is a small beach-shack themed room in the back which contains all the small toys and manipulative.
I really want a playroom that looks like this one.
A little cottage house that has been uniquely painted. I later noticed that this cottage house is actually a KidKraft outdoor cottage house. (At first I thought perhaps it's built from scratch.)
Another room dedicated to all the kitchen related items.
This room has so much more stuff, this picture doesn't do the justice.
One of my favorite features of Peekaboo Playland is that you can bring your own food.
There are 3 picnic tables and several high chairs so you can pack your own lunch or even order food in.
My sister introduced me to an amazing cafe few stores next to Peekaboo so now I don't have to pack anything :D
How adorable are those stairs?
They have separate area for babies under 2 upstairs.
I took Happy Girl up since she's still only 16 months old.
Yup, these photos are taken on a different day. Actually, just a day after. Yes, we went there for two days in a row.
There are many small toys for babies. Along with some slides, rocking horses and play tunnel.
I love her tense curled toes.
The upstairs is a good place to retreat when the main floor is going little nuts with either too many or older kids. I only have been to Peekaboo at around lunch time so I'm not sure how it is in other time of the day but it's usually not too crowed. I haven't been there on weekends either so that is another story.
It is $9 per child but sibling or infants under 1 get $2 discount.
So I paid $16 on the first day. On the second day I just purchased a 10 visits playpasses which I can use for both kids (so I can bring them 5 days). It was $75 for 10. They also have 5 visits option for $40. Oh, and the adults get in free so I bring my sister with me whenever I can and share the 'burden' of watching two kids. ;p
I love all the artwork around the area. If I lived here I will definitely do our kids' birthday parties here!
I love how clean and well accommodated it is. Oh, did I mention that they have free wi-fi and coffee?
I see lot of parent(s) working on their laptops as well. I guess it's doable when the kids are little older but for now I can't take my eyes off of any of them :(
I still have 4 days of passes left and I am excited to plan our trips to there. :)
