Things have been really hectic lately at the Honeybee house!
Hmm... where should I begin...
Well, all the change has been triggered by me getting a job...
Yes, a job!
Last time I had a job (where I had to actually be at the office by certain time) was before I got pregnant with Sweet Boy, so it is about 6 years ago.
I had been doing work from home all this time but this time, I have to be at the office.
I... for some reason, decided to get a job last Saturday.
I pulled together an online portfolio (I work as graphic designer) on Sunday.
I submitted application to about 5 different places on Monday.
I got a call for an interview on Tuesday evening.
I had to take both honeybee kids to doctor's appointment on Wednesday so..
I had an interview on Thursday.
I started working on Friday.
All within a week!
There were many reasons that made me to get a job.
One major reason was that Sweet Boy really wanted to spend a full day at school.
He complained every time I picked him up and at one point he actually cried.
With our budget, it was hard to send him full day so that pushed me over the edge to get a job.
Another major reason was that... since we now live with my parents-in-law..it was getting really uncomfortable just being at the house even though we are really close and my MIL and FIL are truly amazingly nice people. I actually only had 5 hours a week for myself but I still felt like they probably think I'm not doing anything at home. (They never said it, but when you start thinking crazy, everything seems crazy to you)
I still need to work out my work schedule since it is a 30 minute drive and I have to pick Happy Girl up by 2:30. It only allows me to work only 4 hours day if I don't get any help from my MIL.
She kindly offered to drop the kids off at school in the morning and it would allow me an extra hour.
The job description included 'telecommuting' so I will see how that works out as well.
So here it goes, another round of getting adjusted to new schedule!
I hope everything works out. :)
