Latest Favorite - Zingo! (Thinkfun)

One day I saw that Zingo has gone down in price on Amazon. (It has been in my 'save for later' box for the longest time!) I convinced my sister who very unluckily happened to be right next to me at the time to buy her loving nephew and niece this wonderful educational toy. ... and she did!

And it has been our favorite toy ever since.

I thought it would be little too late for Sweet Boy (turning 5 in couple of weeks) but he enjoyed it. BUT NOT AS MUCH AS HIS LITTLE SISTER DID!
This has been Happy Girl's favorite toy for last 3 weeks along with Jenga.

She quickly grasped the concept but her hands act faster than her mouth so she just grabs the game pieces before calling out the word. She's picking up words as well but I will miss her saying "I have hee-hee" instead of "smile".

This is a bingo game designed for 2-6 players but she can play all by herself for long time.
She likes to take all the pieces out and insert it back into the dispenser one by one.
However, the pieces will flip rather than stacking up nicely unless the dispenser is at least half full so she gets annoyed.... But it doesn't stop her, she will just dump it out again and try to put them back in.

Sometimes she matches it on the card.
By the way, that paper tray is from Target's One Spot section and I love them! I wish I can make it more durable and I think it could be used as tot trays.

She plays with them daily. I had my nephews and nieces over last Saturday and they all played few games of Zingo. We had 5 kids from age 2 to 11 playing together. Of course the 11 year old let the young ones win but we all had a blast. The rules are easy to understand- the dispenser dispenses 2 game pieces at a time and you have to call the word first to get the piece. Whoever fills up the whole board first wins.

I would like to get the Sightword version for Sweet Boy. I really wish they sold game pieces and boards set separately because I think all the dispensers are same. Since I have a board game/ educational toy addiction storage is a big issue for me....

For Sweet Boy's birthday, I have ordered about 8 games by Thinkfun from Zulily and I can't wait to see them!

(Zingo is still at the low price around $13 on Amazon! I will link it below.)
