He has to pick 3, not more, not less.
Sometimes after having a tiring day, I bribe or threaten (yeah, literally) him to pick just 1 or 2 but then he won't budge.
There were several favorites this month so I decided to share and log.
These are some of the books we bought from Sweet Boy's school book sale.
He gets the Scholastic Book Sale catalog time to time and we love ordering through the sale so that's why all the books in this list are from Scholastic.
So here are the list:

1. About a Bear
This is a very simple book with averaging a sentence per page. Sweet Boy loves to try to read the entire book by himself. It has a repeating sentence pattern (A bear can be ...) and it makes it even easier for beginning reader.

2.(4, 7, 8) Llama Llama series
- Llama Llama red Pajama
- Llama Llama mad at Mama
- Llama Llama time to Share
- Llama Llama misses Mama
Sweet Boy loves the entire series. I'm planning to get more of the series if I see them in the future sale.
These were a bundled set at a very low price and I'm glad we got them because Sweet Boy always include at least one in his bedtime story pile. This book is really fun to read because of its rhyme and rhythm.
Sweet Boy wanted to read this book all by himself after I had him read the first page. As you can see in the picture, the first page is very simple. However, all the following pages have much more sentences and it was impossible for Sweet Boy to read with his knowledge of just few sight words. However, he wanted me to read every word so he can repeat and this made the bedtime story time very very long and I eventually had to ban the book. :(
Book itself is great, I will just have to let Sweet Boy know that it's is still too hard for him to read all by himself yet.
This is a really cute and fun story. I bought this book because Sweet Boy loves monsters and I was right!
He loves this book and loves the part where they cheer for 'Onster'.
He always wants to do the cheer all by himself.
Jane Yolen wrote many of the books Sweet Boy already loves, such as the Dinosaur series.
However, this book was little too simple for him to enjoy but it will be great book for him to actually read.
9. Nighsong
This book was always displayed in main spot in Barnes & Nobles and that was the reason I picked it.
When I first actually read it, I quickly realized that it is little too hard for Sweet Boy.
It's very wordy (as it has several sentences per page and include intermediate vocabulary) and also the concept was hard for Sweet Boy.
However, he frequently picked this book to be read and I really don't know why...
It's a great book, just little too hard.
10. Jungle Run
Sweet Boy's favorite part is the map that is on the inside of front and back cover.
He loves to re-track the race and explain what happened in each obstacle course.
It's fun book to read and to be read.
11. Just Say BOO!
Ah... this was THE FAVORITE book of Sweet Boy!
He read this book every single day. Thank goodness it was fun to read and somewhat short...
He loves to say "BOO!" and he memorized the entire book.
He said "trick or treat" and "thank you".
His practice really paid off on the actual Halloween trick or treating. :)
This book really grew on me as well.
I love the illustration.
So these were Sweet Boy's picks for October.
I know November is almost over as well so the November picks will be updated soon! :)
